History
-Dahomey's slaveowning economy goes through a peasant-led revolution in 1910
-headed by hungan priests
-successfully storms Abomey
-with Oyo being occupied and invaded by Sokoto, it's unable to intervene
-additionally French corporate interests in Lagos consumed by revolt spillover
-and by the time they send their private armies there it's defeated by surprisingly strong revolutionary force
-and before they can send more French order it be called off
-ensuing regime puts an end to slaveowning economy but not slavery itself
-it is rolled back dramatically though
-and there are broad motions towards a more egalitarian society in contrast to the slave system
-however, due to Dahomey Amazons having been used to enforce slave regime there's high misogyny
-new regime successfully spreads vodun religion to its various peoples
-and successfully entrenches it
-eventually there's overthrow of a dictatorial Chief Hungan in age of revolutions in Africa
-and establishment of a more free and democratic order with Hungans reduced downwards in power
